PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Police say a 2-year-old child was found sleeping inside a Palm Springs apartment where three people died in a weekend murder-suicide.
Investigators believe that a man shot two women relatives and then turned the gun on himself. Their names haven't been released.
Authorities say family members and an employer of one of the dead found the child Sunday evening when they went to the Mojave Blue apartment complex to check on the occupants.
The 2-year-old wasn't harmed. The child was taken to a hospital for observation and was to be released to family members.
Several guns were found inside the apartment.
