In Sunday's Whistleblower column, Joanne Manlove shared her story of buying a very expensive bed after a long visit from an aggressive salesman who visited her assisted living apartment a few months ago. Her situation raises good questions about the three-day "buyer's remorse" law that applies when someone makes a purchase in their home. A spokesman for the state attorney general's office said the office would support lengthening the amount of time the consumer has to return the purchase. In North Dakota, senior citizens have 15 days to return a product that was purchased outside of a place of business.
Do you think the law should be expanded so consumers have more time to think about a big purchase?
