Zukowski, Evelyn S. (Mulvihill) age 100 of NE Mpls, passed away surrounded by family on July 24, 2022. Preceded in death by husband, Tony; daughter Kathleen and a baby daughter; siblings, Margaret, Bernard, Dorothy, Marion, William and Robert. Evelyn is survived by children, Jim, Barb (Ed), Marilyn (John), Sue, Beanie (Jim), Tony (Beth), Janet (Joe) and son-in-law, Don; grandchildren, Joanne, Dennis, Anne, Debbie, Greg, Michele, Kelly, Jennifer, Mallory, Joseph and Tony. She is survived by a host of great and great great grandchildren as well as many treasured nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mom lived an incredible life filled with Family, Faith and Love. She was widowed at age 41 and was left to raise 8 children on her own. She demonstrated determination, hard work, kindness and that family is everything. We have all learned from the best. Mom never drove a car and lived her 100 years in NE Mpls. She worked in the NE Catholic School system until she retired at age 80. Mom was very active at St. Boniface Church. She was president of the St. Anne's and Mother's clubs. She volunteered for all funerals and events at the church. She was also on the board for the Catholic Aid Association as well as the secretary for N.E.R.O. sports. Mom's children and her siblings were her life. She was a fabulous cook and had Sunday night dinners with her siblings for over 25 years. She was famous for her whipped potatoes, gravy and hosted almost all holidays at her house with great food and pretty table settings. Mom had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She enjoyed bowling at Elsie's, card club, attending her kids and grandkids activities, Catholic Aid picnics, church bake sales, our dog Lassie, playing bingo, visiting the elderly, playing games at the State Fair, casino runs, pretty nails and lipstick, lovely garden, talking on the phone and having a house full of company. For the past 3 years all of her children stayed with her 24/7 in her home. Thanks to special caregivers, Tony Micek, son-in-law, Ed and grandson, Joseph. We all won the lottery having Evelyn as our mom! Memories will be treasured by all of us. We have peace knowing she is up in Heaven sharing her whipped potatoes with dad. Mass of Christian Burial at the CHURCH OF ST. BONIFACE (629 2nd ST NE) 10 am Thursday, July 28, 2022 with visitation one hour prior. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. kozlakradulovich.com "A Celebration of Life" 612-789-8869
