LOS ANGELES – Yasiel Puig's pinch-hit home run on Wednesday night that lifted the Dodgers to a series sweep of the Rockies followed a tumultuous 24-hour period for the outfielder.

Puig was granted permission by the team to leave Dodger Stadium on Tuesday to deal with a burglary at his home in the San Fernando Valley. It was the fourth time one of his two L.A. homes had been burglarized.

Burglars caused $10,000 worth of damage before fleeing. They attempted to steal a safe.

"I [did] not sleep too much yesterday," Puig said Wednesday, without offering details about the latest incident.

Puig is hitting .400 this month for the first-place Dodgers, with seven homers, nine runs and 14 RBI.
