Regular-season finale a big one

Gophers update: Minnesota (20-8-3) had last weekend off after going 1-0-1 with a shootout loss at St. Cloud State. Coach Brad Frost played both goaltenders in that series: freshman Alex Gulstene (2.37 goals against average) and senior Sidney Peters (2.00). Peters has started 20 games, and Gulstene 11.

Badgers update: Wisconsin (27-3-2) has clinched its third consecutive WCHA regular season title. All-American goaltender Ann-Renee Desbiens graduated, but in stepped sophomore Kristen Campbell, who leads the nation in goals against average (1.12) and save percentage (.944). Minnetonka native Presley Norby ranks second on the team with 26 points; Wayzata native Sophia Shaver is third with 24.
