Preview: The No. 12 Gophers (12-0, 1-0), one of nine remaining unbeaten teams in the country, play their first Big Ten road game after opening conference play with a 74-56 home victory over Wisconsin on Friday. The Wolverines (9-4, 0-1) lost at Nebraska 70-56 on Friday after taking a six-point lead into the fourth quarter. The Gophers won at Michigan 93-87 on Feb. 14 to end a three-game losing streak to the Wolverines.

Players to watch: G Kenisha Bell leads the Gophers in scoring (19.3 ppg). Against Wisconsin, Bell had 17 points and 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. C Annalese Lamke, who is averaging 11.1 points per game, scored 20 points against Wisconsin. Michigan F/C Hallie Thome, a 6-5 senior, is averaging 12.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. She is third on the school's all-time scoring list and is the only player in Wolverines history with at least 1,800 points and 700 rebounds. F Naz Hillmon, a 6-2 freshman, is averaging 11.9 points and 6.5 rebounds. Hillmon is shooting 73.3 percent from the field (third in the nation).

Numbers: The Gophers are 14th in the nation in scoring defense, allowing 53.3 points per game. … Michigan is ranked seventh in rebound margin (13.9). The Gophers are 12th (11.6). … The Gophers' 12-0 start is tied for the second best in program history.
