It should be seen as a sign of progress that on a night when their energy was at times too low, when their ball security late left something to be desired, after they had squandered a late nine-point lead, the Timberwolves found a way to win a game.

Yes, that's progress. Tonight's 111-105 overtime victory over Orlando came after that nine-point lead had turned into a two-point Orlando lead with 50 seconds left. But Andrew Wiggins hit the game-tying jumper with 10 seconds left, then he scored six of the Wolves' first eight in overtime as the Wolves won for the second straight time, for the fifth time in six games and for the eighth time in 11 games.

Here are some notes from the game:

--Wiggins had a game-high 27 points, giving him six straight games with 20 or more points. He has 28 such games this season. The game-winner came from 21 feet, the same distance as the game-winner in Phoenix a week ago.

--What got into Ricky Rubio? He made a career-high six three-pointers on nine attempts, scoring 22 points with eight rebounds and eight assists. Thirteen of those points came in the third quarter. "I know what is my game,'' he said. "Sometimes you feel different out there, and you have to try it. It felt good tonight.''

--Shabazz Muhammad scored 10 points – including a half-court three-pointer at the third-quarter buzzer that gave the Wolves a one-point lead – giving him double figure scoring in five of his last seven games.

--The Wolves had 29 assists on 40 made shots, the ninth time this season they've had 29 or more assists in a game. They are 7-2 in those games.

--The Wolves blocked a season-high 11 shots tonight, with six players having at least one and four having two or more.
