Eyes again on the point guards

Wolves update: The Timberwolves could be without point guards Derrick Rose and Jeff Teague, who are both listed as doubtful because of sore ankles. Teague continues his rehabilitation from a sore left ankle that has caused him to miss the past six games. Rose, who had recently been battling a sore left ankle, injured his right ankle in Friday's loss to Atlanta and did not play in overtime. If neither can go, the Wolves likely will turn to Tyus Jones again to start with Jerryd Bayless backing him up. The Wolves defeated Oklahoma City last Sunday with that tandem running the point.

Heat update: The Heat is jockeying for a playoff spot in the middle of the Eastern Conference standings. Miami is doing so with G Goran Dragic, who had surgery on his right knee and will be out at least until the All-Star break. … Dion Waiters did not play Friday's 118-94 victory over Cleveland while James Johnson left the game because of an illness. … In his final season, Heat guard Dwyane Wade is averaging 13.9 points per game on 41 percent shooting. … Josh Richardson, who the Wolves were close to acquiring in the Jimmy Butler trade talks, is leading the Heat with 18.4 points per game, a 5.5 point increase from a season ago, although he is shooting 41 percent, down 4 percent.
