wolves gameday

9:30 P.M. at L.A. CLIPPERS • FSN, 830-aM

Preview: The Clippers are 4-3 under new coach Doc Rivers and are coming home from a 1-2 road trip that started with losses in Orlando and Miami and ended with a 107-94 victory at Houston on Saturday. … Monday's game is the second of back-to-back games in Los Angeles for the Timberwolves. They return to Staples Center in December to play both teams again, but with a day off in between. … The Clippers swept the four-game series a year ago, including a 101-95 home victory in November that starting a franchise-record 17-game winning streak.

Players to watch: Clippers All-Star point guard Chris Paul is Chris Paul (well, except for when he's Cliff Paul), but the Clippers also went out last summer and signed veteran guard J.J. Redick, whom the Wolves also courted before signing Kevin Martin. Redick is third on the Clippers in scoring with a 17.6-ppg average that's behind only Blake Griffin's 21.7 ppg and Paul's 21.3. Redick is shooting 47.3 percent from the field, 36.6 percent from three-point range and 96 percent from the line and has been the team's scoring leader twice in six games, including sharing that distinction with Griffin with 22 points each in Houston on Saturday.

Injuries: Wolves F Chase Budinger (knee surgery) and C/F Ronny Turiaf (fractured elbow) are out. Clippers F Matt Barnes (bruised thigh) is questionable.
