Preview: The 6-3 Hornets have been in town since Sunday evening after losing a matinee at Cleveland. They lost to the Cavaliers and Toronto consecutively after having won four straight before that. The 3-6 Wolves have won two of three games — including Sunday 125-99 victory over the Lakers — after they started the season 1-5. … Charlotte swept the two-game season series a year ago and has won seven of the past eight games between the teams, which split two games in the preseason. … The Wolves' Tom Thibodeau and Charlotte's Steve Clifford were assistants for Jeff Van Gundy in both New York and Houston.

Players to watch: Hornets guard Kemba Walker has scored 20 or more points in each of his past eight games to tie a career best; he also did so in eight consecutive games last season. His 40-point, 10-rebound, five-assist game Friday against Toronto was the first such stat line in Hornets history. … Wolves star Andrew Wiggins set career highs in points (47), points in a quarter (17 in the fourth), points in a half (25 in first) and attempted free throws (22) in Sunday's victory.

Injuries: Wolves guards Zach LaVine and Shabazz Muhammad both are listed as questionable; each missed Sunday's game. After the game, Thibodeau called them "day-to-day" and said "hopefully it will clear up soon." G Brandon Rush (big toe sprained ligament) also is questionable as well. Hornets G Jeremy Lamb (hamstring) is out.
