Gophers at a glance: Coach Pam Borton has preached balance on offense all season, but Wednesday's 62-60 win over Green Bay in the opening round of the WNIT was a two-player show for the Gophers (21-12). Rachel Banham scored 12 of her game-high 31 points in the final four minutes, and Amanda Zahui B. had 17 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks. The two scored all 23 of the Gophers' first-half points; the rest of the team shot 0-for-13.

Mustangs at a glance: Southern Methodist (18-13) travels to Minneapolis to take on the Gophers for the first time in program history after beating Texas Southern 84-72 on Thursday. … Senior Keena Mays, the team's leading scorer at 21.2 points per game, hit five three-pointers and scored 32 points.
