MADISON, Wis. — A western Wisconsin historical site is set to host a carriage competition next month.
Villa Louis, a historical mansion in Prairie du Chien, will host the Carriage Classic on Sept. 7 and Sept. 8. More than 100 drivers are expected to compete on their carriages' look, their dress and their manners. The completion will take place in a fenced arena as well as on the mansion's grounds.
A one-day ticket costs $12 for adults and $5 for children between the ages of five and 17. Two-day tickets cost $20 for adults and $10 for children.
