WINE
Germany is not exactly the first (or second) place we think of when seeking out rose, but if we start seeing more wines like the Villa Wolf Pinot Noir Rose ($14), that might change. From a region more renowned for riesling (Pfalz), this pale beauty showcases perfectly ripe red-berry flavors. It's light at the outset, zings across the midpalate and shows surprising complexity on the finish. This rose is the color of salmon and would pair beautifully with that or any other fish, grilled or roasted or fried. Available at the Wine Thief, South Lyndale and Stinson Wine, Beer & Spirits.
