WINE
Today brings one of my favorite Twin Cities wine events, the Solo Vino rosé tasting, but I have been enjoying pink wines for a couple of months now. One of my favorites is the Villa des Anges Old Vines Rosé 2011 ($13). This 100-percent cinsault offers up the classic strawberry aromas and flavors of southern France's pink stuff, with a clean, fresh finish. Like most rosés, it's swell al fresco and seriously versatile at the dinner table, pairing well with anything short of charred beef. Available at Solo Vino, Lowry Hill, Excelsior Vintage and others.
