WINE
Edina native Dave Ready Jr. is crafting some lovely wines, especially for the price, out Sonoma way. His Murphy Goode North Coast "The Fume" Sauvignon Blanc ($14) offers up citrus, tropical and stone-fruit elements and a stirring backbone, with a nice touch of spice at the end. "Sauvignon blanc might have the biggest spectrum of any grape," Ready said during a Twin Cities visit last week. "I want that spectrum." Mission accomplished. Try it with milder Thai dishes, grilled veggies or most any chicken dish. Widely available.
