Wine deal: Murphy Goode "The Fume" North Coast Sauvignon Blanc

Edina native Dave Ready Jr. is crafting some lovely wines, especially for the price, out Sonoma way. His Murphy Goode North Coast "The Fume" Sauvignon Blanc ($14) offers up citrus, tropical and stone-fruit elements and a stirring backbone, with a nice touch of spice at the end. "Sauvignon blanc might have the biggest spectrum of any grape," Ready said during a Twin Cities visit last week. "I want that spectrum." Mission accomplished.
