WINE
Spring is nigh, and in these parts that means medium-bodied red wines should find great favor. The Chateau Coupe Roses "La Bastide" Minervois ($15) has bright red fruit and dusty, dried-herb elements leading to a spicy, fruity finish. Composed primarily of carignan and grenache with a bit of syrah, this is a classic southern France blend that checks in at just 13 percent alcohol. Try it with soft cheeses and olives at appetizer time, or with barbecued chicken or a burger if you've got the grill up and going.
