Joel Alvstad of the Cottonwood County Citizen in Windom has passed along word that Windom girls' hockey goaltender Brooklyn Drahota surpassed the 5,000-save career mark. The team's season ended Friday with a 5-3 loss to Fairmont in the Class 1A, Section 3 playoffs.
Drahota, a senior, made 30 saves in that game to push her career total to 5,012. When she reached 5,000, the game was briefly stopped and her accomplishment was recognized.
