Three days are in the books for training camp, and Monday night, the Wild plays the first of five exhibition games in seven days.

Jack Eichel's Buffalo Sabres are coming to town for the first of two preseason games this training camp in St. Paul. Eichel will debut.

The Wild's fielding a solid lineup with its two top lines and three of its four top defensemen. Mike Reilly will also wear a Wild sweater for the first time.

Remember, Monday's game, no matter what the score after three periods will feature the first of three trial 3-on-3 overtimes.

Monday's Wild lineup

Forwards: Zach Parise, Mikael Granlund, Jason Pominville, Jason Zucker, Mikko Koivu, Nino Niederreiter, Ruslan Fedotenko, Tyler Graovac, Zack Mitchell, Matt Carey, Brady Brassart, Kurtis Gabriel.

Defensemen: Ryan Suter, Jared Spurgeon, Jonas Brodin, Christian Folin, Mike Reilly, Nate Prosser, Tyson Strachan. They're debating whether Prosser plays Monday or Tuesday in Winnipeg or Strachan plays Monday or in Winnipeg.

Goaltenders: Darcy Kuemper will start and the plan is to play him the whole game, Niklas Backstrom will back up. Backstrom is supposed to play the entire game in Winnipeg and Kuemper will back up.

Devan Dubnyk was originally supposed to start Monday, but coach Mike Yeo said he'll play three of the final four exhibition games.

Justin Fontaine took a shot from Marco Scandella and left the ice grimacing in the scrimmage, but Yeo said he's OK.

-- Yeo said the Thomas Vanek-Charlie Coyle-Fontaine line is a "work in progress." It sounds like they'll be the top line in Winnipeg on Tuesday, but Yeo said there have been good moments and moments where things are lacking.

"That's part of the process, finding your timing and game legs and game battle level and execution level, and sometimes it's there and sometimes it's not there," Yeo said.

I've actually felt Coyle has looked good, so I'm not sure if Yeo is more talking about the other guys or the line as a whole.

-- In today's scrimmage, Erik Haula scored two goals and Mikko Koivu and Christoph Bertschy one each in a 4-2 white win. Kuemper gave up three goals in the first half. Vanek and Coyle scored in 3-on-3 for green. Coyle's was very pretty off a couple nice passing plays from Mike Reilly and Jordan Schroeder.

-- Yeo continues to be very pleased with Haula and was not exactly thrilled with Tyler Graovac's day. Haula outplayed him in the scrimmage, which Yeo said is very good for Haula. He wants more from Graovac.

-- Yeo is happy with Ruslan Fedotenko so far in camp and wants to give Graovac a veteran like Fedotenko alongside of him in Monday's game.

-- The Wild typically doesn't play invitees in exhibition game, but Yeo said Matt Carey deserves it. Carey was the big St. Lawrence college free agent the Chicago Blackhawks signed in 2014. The Hawks didn't qualify him in June and he signed an AHL deal with the Wild in July.

-- Yeo on Eichel playing: "It'll be fun for our fans to see a player of that caliber, but I'll be completely watching our guys tomorrow."
