The Wild added its to roster before Monday's matchup with the Jets in Winnipeg, recalling defenseman Ryan Murphy from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.

Murphy, a right shot, has 11 points in 18 games with Iowa this season, his first with the organization after signing as a free agent on July 1.

In 151 career NHL games, Murphy has six goals and 37 points. The 24-year-old was originally drafted by the Hurricanes 12th overall in 2011.

If he draws into the lineup tonight, it'll be Murphy's Wild debut. He'll wear No.6.

As for who will be playing behind the defense against the Jets, backup Alex Stalock will get the start.

Stalock has been impressive in his career against the Jets, going 3-1 with a 0.99 goals-against average, .955 save percentage and a pair of shutouts in six games. His inclusion in this game gives No.1 Devan Dubnyk extra time to practice, with the Wild's next game not until Thursday when it hosts the Golden Knights.

"Sometimes just the morning skates aren't good enough for goalies," Boudreau said. "They need more work. That's where I think the last two games Duby hasn't been as sharp as normal. That's the only reason today we have a chance to have a good practice before the next game and get Duby to have a good practice and then he'll play the game."

Projected lineup:

Daniel Winnik-Mikko Koivu-Mikael Granlund

Tyler Ennis-Eric Staal-Nino Niederreiter

Jason Zucker-Charlie Coyle-Zack Mitchell

Marcus Foligno-Matt Cullen-Chris Stewart

Ryan Suter-Jared Spurgeon

Jonas Brodin-Matt Dumba

Kyle Quincey-Gustav Olofsson

Alex Stalock
