Wild places four on waivers, cuts 13 more

The process of chopping its training camp roster significantly began with placing four players on waivers

September 27, 2015 at 5:43PM

The Wild began the process of cutting down its training camp roster dramatically this morning by placing Ruslan Fedotenko, Zac Dalpe, Brett Sutter and Jared Knight on waivers. All will be assigned to Iowa if they clear waivers tomorrow.

Those who don't need waivers to be assigned to Iowa are Christoph Bertschy, Brady Brassart, Matt Carey, Maxime Fortunus, Kurtis Gabriel, Marc Hagel, Leland Irving, Michael Keranen, Dylan Labbe, Kevin Lalande, Zack Mitchell, Gustav Olofsson and Zach Palmquist. Irving and Lelande are on tryouts.

This trims the roster to 27. Twenty-three can be on the team.

See tonight's lineup against Winnipeg on the previous blog. This means as of now Tyler Graovac, Brett Bulmer, Mike Reilly and Tyson Strachan have not assigned. Of those four, only Strachan requires waivers. This could mean all four will go with the team to Duluth after the game, or the Wild assigns one or two after the game tonight.

More later after we get Mike Yeo at 3 p.m.
