The Nintendo Wii will finally get streaming Netflix movies this spring, just as owners of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 have been enjoying for a while now. The Wii service won't be in high-def, of course, because the system can't handle it. But Wii owners probably don't care. (Cue the rumors of a high-def Wii system as the next big thing.) To get the service, Wii owners must subscribe to Netflix, starting at $8.99 a month (which includes DVD rentals), and have a broadband Internet connection. They'll also need a Netflix Wii disc that facilitates the streaming service. The disc will be available for free to subscribers, and they can get in line to receive a copy as soon as they're available by signing up at Netflix's site.
