Where is Saturday's game? Not on TV or radio live

Gophers hockey fans not at Saturday's 7 p.m. game with Denver won't be able to follow it live on the usual media sources, TV and radio. It is being aired on tape delay.

The Gophers-Denver game on Saturday will not be available line on the usual media outlets.

FSN wil have its crew there --- Frank Mazzacco and Doug Woog, etc. -- but the game will be aired on tape delay at 3 p.m. Sunday. Why so?

Seems the Wild face Carolina at 7 p.m. Saturday at the X and that game is being aired live on FSN. After it ends, there is a college football game, Arizona State vs. Stanford.

The Gophers? FSN will air their Saturday game at 3 p.m. on Sunday. At least it won't go head to head with the Vikings-Pittsburgh game which starts at high noon.

If you want to listen to the Gophers-Denver game on radio, it's on KYCR 1570 AM, that's a Twin Cities station with one tower in Golden Valley. It has 230 watts of power at night.

Doesn't sound too powerful and the radio broadcast is also being delayed. Seems that KYCR (the YCR stands for Your Christian Radio) is the voice of North Dakota State football in the Twin Cities area.

The Bison play Missouri State at 6 p.m. on Saturday, so the football game will be aired live. Did you know there are 25,000 NDSU alum in the Twin Cities area. KYCR joined the Bison radio network for football at the start of the 2008 season. Who knew?
