In a pair of commentaries, legislative leaders in Minnesota look back at the just-finished regular session.

• Republican House Speaker Kurt Daudt of Crown and Rep. Jenifer Loon of Eden Prairie note that much good work was overshadowed by Gov. Mark Dayton's veto of an education funding bill.

• House Minority Leader Paul Thissen, a Minneapolis DFLer, lists the session's top 10 missed opportunities, on issues ranging from long-term care to college tuition to oil trains to early education.
