All Seasons Wild Bird Store celebrates its 20th Anniversary by discounting its 20 best selling items by 20 percent, including a variety of bird feeders (recycled, hummingbird, oriole, dish, squirrel resistant, tube), seed and accessories such as poles and baffles. The sale continues through June 20. Wild Bird Store has locations in Bllomington, Eagan, Minnetonka, Wayzata and White Bear Lake.

The supplier who's quitting her business is selling items sold by Restoration Hardware and Bachman's discounted 50 to 70 percent. There are a few large items in very limited quantities, such as a RH linen sofa for $1,100 (regularly $3,000), some iron patio furniture and a vintage French dining room table and chairs ($100 each, regularly $229), but there are only a few of those. Other items include a lot of wicker baskets, candle holders and planters. The sale organizer also included some shelving for $1 to $5 per shelf, ooze tubes for tree watering ($5), Hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 1200 Mendelssohn Av. N., Golden Valley, 612-309-7465.

Here's a reminder of how short our growing season is---some of the greenhouses have already permanently discounted their plants 50 percent (Linder's flowermarts). Bachman's has also started a 50 percent off plants sale but only at its three "Gardens by Bachman's" locations in Chanhassen, Eagan and St. Louis Park. FYI, I wrote on Wednesday that Linder's has the best perennials guarantee in the Twin Cities (2 years) but so does Bachman's, if you're an e-club member (free to join). To sign up, go to the homepage and look in the lower right corner for the e-club box.

Just in time for Dad's Day, Nordstrom's semi-annual sale for men starts today.
