After being sidelined in his last Gophers game, senior Jordan Murphy is healthy again and will play in an all-star game Friday as part of the Final Four festivities.

Murphy, an All-Big Ten first-team forward, was limited to four minutes because of back spasms in Minnesota's 70-50 season-ending loss in the NCAA tournament's second round to Michigan State in Des Moines.

The San Antonio native has since recovered. He was selected Tuesday to be on the West roster for the Reese's College All-Star Game, at 3 p.m. Friday at U.S. Bank Stadium. Admission is free. Twenty seniors were selected; James Palmer Jr. of Nebraska was the other Big Ten invitee.

In his four-year career at the U, Murphy finished was second all-time in scoring (1,802 points) and first in rebounding (1,307), which also ranks No. 2 in Big Ten history.

He averaged 14.4 points and 11.0 rebounds his senior season, shooting 48.7 percent from the field and 68 percent from the free-throw line.
