Community Homestead is a 240-acre organic farm, but also a nonprofit rural community of six homes in Osceola, Wis., in which adults with special needs live in extended-family households. Together, they operate a dairy farm, CSA garden, orchard, bakery and woodshop. A country banquet to raise money to support the community will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the farm. Five chefs from the Culinary Arts Program of St. Paul College are donating their time to create a four-course meal from the farm's food, including artisan cheese, charcuterie, ragout of beef and fennel confiture on potato gnocchi, roasted vegetables, wine and more. SOS is HOTShare Our Strength, which works to end childhood hunger, hosts its annual Taste of the Nation HOTlist fundraiser from 7-10 p.m. Monday at the Guthrie Theater.
