Xcel Energy Center will play host to the West Regional of the 2014 NCAA men's hockey tournament, NCAA officials said Thursday.
It will be the fifth time in six years that the Twin Cities will play host to the NCAA tournament. Xcel also held the 2010 and '12 West Regionals as well as the 2011 Frozen Four.
The 2014 regional will be held on Saturday and Sunday (March 29-30), with tickets going on sale next fall.
