Foreclosure hotline Community Action Partnership of Suburban Hennepin has set up a hotline to help homeowners avoid foreclosure at 952-933-1993.

CAPSH provides information to help homeowners who are having trouble paying their mortgage. The hotline will connect homeowners with professionals who can assist them.

Meetings for Ramstad constituents planned U.S. Rep. Jim Ramstad, a Republican who represents the Third District, will hold a series of town meetings during the next week. They are scheduled for :

• Bloomington: Noon on Friday in the council chambers at Bloomington City Hall, 1800 W. Old Shakopee Road

• Brooklyn Park: Noon on Monday in the council chambers at Brooklyn Park City Hall, 5200 85th Av. N.

• Plymouth: 7 p.m. Monday in the council chambers at Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Blvd.

Money-management lecture for seniors Money Management for Seniors, a NORC Health and Wellness lecture, is scheduled for 2:30-3:30 p.m. April 16 at the Lenox Community Center, 6715 Minnetonka Blvd., St. Louis Park.

The lecture by Barbara Grimm will deal with managing financial information, keeping your money in safe places, transferring assets and other topics.

Lawn-care advice Two yard workshops will be offered at the South Shore Center, 5735 County Club Road, Shorewood.

A low-impact landscape workshop is scheduled for 6 p.m. April 24. Information will include how to use native plants and rain gardens.

An organic lawn-care workshop is scheduled at 6 p.m. May 22. Learn to rebuild your lawn from the soil up. Free soil test kits available.

Each workshop will offer 25 rain barrels at a cost of $40 for Minnehaha Creek Watershed District residents and $60 to others.

The workshops are sponsored by the cities of Minnetonka, Shorewood, Deephaven, Tonka Bay, Excelsior and Chanhassen.

UMD grad, Army vet joins attorney's office Ryan McNamee has been named office manager in the Carver County Attorney's Office. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and philosophy.

In 2005, McNamee went on active duty in the Army and served as a paralegal with 8th U.S. Army in Korea. He served as network administrator to the Judge Advocate General Corps, managing personnel and technology functions for the office.

In 2006, McNamee returned to the United States. He was assigned to the 7th Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg, N.C., where he served for two years.

McNamee is a Minnesota native who recently returned after his Army discharge. He attained his degree while serving in the Army National Guard.

"Ryan brings a wealth of management and technology experience to the County Attorney's Office. I'm excited to have him join our team," said Carver County Attorney Jim Keeler.
