TWIN CITIES PRIDE

Pride weekend kicks off with a lively block party in Uptown Minneapolis. Entertainment includes L'Assassins, the Lioness, the sassy Mistress Ginger and Dykes Do Drag. (6-10:30 p.m. Fri. Free. Bryant-Lake Bowl, 810 W. Lake St., Mpls.) There will be a wide assortment of activities for all ages during the festival in Loring Park. Every inch of ground will be filled with 400 exhibitors, food and beverage booths and entertainment stages. Rhythm and blues songstress Deborah Cox along with Peaches, Hunter Valentine and Mayda perform at Pride in Concert. Sunday's parade will travel down Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. UPTOWN FOOD TRUCK FAIR

Don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach at this food festival. With more than 60 food trucks, foodies can grab just about anything from O'Cheeze, Tot Boss, Rusty Taco, Hot Indian Foods and other food trucks.
