Pride weekend kicks off with a lively block party in Uptown Minneapolis. Entertainment includes L'Assassins, the Lioness, the sassy Mistress Ginger and Dykes Do Drag. (6-10:30 p.m. Fri. Free. Every inch of ground will be filled with 400 exhibitors, food and beverage booths and entertainment stages. Rhythm and blues songstress Deborah Cox along with Peaches, Hunter Valentine and Mayda perform at Pride in Concert. Sunday's parade will travel down Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis.
