"Knight Rider": The most expensive, elaborate Ford commercial becomes a series, nearly 25 years after David Hasselhoff took the original wheel. No offense to KITT fans, but I'd much rather see a remake of "My Mother the Car." Bea Arthur needs the work. (7 p.m. Sept. 24, KARE, Ch. 11.)
"Gary Unmarried": What if "Everybody Loves Raymond" was about the Barones' divorce? That's the rough premise of this amusing sitcom about a sad-sack contractor (the surprisingly sweet Jay Mohr) dealing with his new single status. Many critics don't give this show much of a chance, but I'm not one of them. (7:30 p.m. Sept. 24, WCCO, Ch. 4.)
"Stylista": Nearly a dozen would-be fashion writers try to impress fashion news director Anne Slowey for a chance to work at Elle magazine. The only thing that would make this less compelling is if the hopefuls vied for the coveted position of TV critic. (8 p.m. Oct. 22, WUCW, Ch. 23.)
"Criminal Minds": Mandy who? The new season of this better-than-average criminal procedure series has left Patinkin in the dust with a tighter cast, including the wonderful Paget Brewster, and a pulsating opener that plays out in real time with very real consequences. (8 p.m. Sept. 24, WCCO, Ch. 4.)
"Do Not Disturb": With this lowbrow version of "Upstairs, Downstairs" set in a posh hotel, Fox appears eager to remind viewers that it does smutty, stupid TV better than any other network. Jason Bateman directed the first two episodes, his worst career move since "Teen Wolf Too."
(8:30 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9.)
