Senators beat Jets
WINNIPEG – Rookie Andrew Hammond made 35 saves, and Kyle Turris had a goal and assist as the Ottawa Senators beat the Winnipeg Jets 3-1 on Wednesday night.
Bobby Ryan and Erik Condra also scored for Ottawa, which came off a 3-2 shootout loss on Tuesday at Minnesota.
The Senators are 6-0-1 in their past seven games.
Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien left the game in the second period and didn't return because of an upper-body injury. He appeared to favor his right arm.
The Jets hold the top wild-card spot in the Western Conference by one point over the Wild, but Minnesota has two games in hand.
•ZIDLICKY LIFTS WINGS: Marek Zidlicky, acquired Monday from New Jersey, scored 1:09 into overtime in his Detroit debut, giving the Red Wings a 2-1 victory over the visiting New York Rangers.
• DUCKS ROLL TO TOP: John Gibson made 37 saves, and host Anaheim moved back atop the overall NHL standings with a 3-1 victory over Montreal.
•AVS TOP PENS: Gabriel Landeskog had a goal and two assists as host Colorado beat Pittsburgh 3-1.
