Wade steps up in fourth for Heat
MIAMI – Dwyane Wade scored 15 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter, including a jumper with 13.6 seconds left to break a tie as the Miami Heat beat the Portland Trail Blazers 108-104 on Wednesday night.
"This is what I love to do," Wade said. "… Now for this team I get to be a little bit back to my usual self, having the ball."
LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland with 34 points and 12 rebounds.
•HOME STREAK GROWS: J.R. Smith and Timofey Mozgov scored 17 points apiece and the Cleveland Cavaliers shook off a slow start to win their 14th consecutive home game, 117-92 over the Brooklyn Nets. Kevin Love, after a two-game break to rest his back, had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
•ROOKIE CARRIES BULLS: Rookie Nikola Mirotic scored 20 of his 25 points in the second half, Mike Dunleavy added 21 points and Pau Gasol had 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the shorthanded Chicago Bulls to a 103-86 victory over the visiting Pacers.
