WE SPOTTED IT

About the size of a TV remote, a new portable, wireless thermostat by Honeywell is designed so users can carry it with them throughout the house and adjust room temperature from wherever they are. The Portable Comfort Control works with the company's wireless thermostat and zoning systems, which cost $200 to $700 professionally installed. The living room and bedroom in a Wayzata home look like they were lifted from Versailles. They almost were. The rooms -- walls, frescoes, fireplaces and all -- were built in France in the 18th century, shipped to the United States 200 years later and reassembled.

DO IT NOW

About this time of year, most of us could stand a whole-house refresher. Do it without spending a dime -- or much time -- by moving art and accessories from room to room. Take the painting from the bedroom and hang it in the living room. Top your mantel with a grouping of colorful vases. Display your collection of vintage toys on the buffet. Just a few small changes can make a big difference.

ON TV

Spurners of football, take note: DIY Network's annual Toilet Bowl Marathon, begins Super Sunday at 6 a.m. You can watch 15 hours of home improvement programming, including the premiere of "Bathtastic," a new series hosted by Roseville resident Matt Muenster at 7 p.m. The show promises "modern, eco-friendly redos" for the smallest room in the house.

WINNER'S CIRCLE

Here's a chance to tame that clothes-choked area alleged to be a closet. Enter in person for a chance to win a $1,500 closet makeover with Ikea's Pax and Komplement systems. Installation is not included; the contest runs through Feb. 20. The Bloomington store is located at 8000 Ikea Way; one entry per household.

Perla was accused of raping a student during a wine-tasting outing in June 2015. Some of the files are so heavily redacted that on many pages no words are visible. Perla is one of 113 UC employees found to have violated the system's sexual misconduct policies in rece
