The WCHA suspended St. Cloud State junior center Aaron Marvin for the second time this season.
WCHA suspends St. Cloud State's co-captain
Aaron Marvin drew his second suspension of the season for a hit on Wisconsin's leading scorer.
Marvin was suspended after a shoulder-to-head check on Wisconsin's leading goal-scorer, Blake Geoffrion, on Feb. 20. The St. Cloud State co-captain was not penalized on the play, but the league reviewed the hit and issued the suspension. Geoffrion missed the Badgers' weekend series at Michigan Tech because of a concussion.
In November, Marvin was suspended for checking North Dakota captain Chay Genoway from behind. Genoway is still sidelined because of post-concussion syndrome.
Marvin will miss the Huskies' season-ending series with Minnesota State, Mankato, and their first playoff game.
Aaron Jones’ instincts and vision have his new teammates and coaches in Minnesota in “oh my gosh” mode. “I can’t believe the Packers got rid of that guy,” says one of his blockers.
