Frattin's 17th goal leads UND victory NORTH DAKOTA 4, MSU MANKATO 2: Matt Frattin scored his WCHA-leading 17th goal as the Fighting Sioux beat the Mavericks on Sunday in Mankato in a game delayed a day by a blizzard.

North Dakota trailed 2-1 heading into the second period before rallying for its second road sweep of the season.

"It wasn't a great start for us," North Dakota coach Dave Hakstol said. "I thought it was a sloppy period, not the kind I expected. We needed more out of the guys, and I think the second and third we got more out of the guys."

Brock Nelson, Brad Malone and Evan Trupp scored in the final two periods, assuring the Sioux first place in the WCHA at the halfway point.

Ben Youds and Ryan Galiardi scored for Mankato.

Late Saturday

ALASKA ANCHORAGE 2, DENVER 2: Mitch Bruijsten scored with 8:10 left in the third period, enabling the host Seawolves to secure a tie.
