• NORTH DAKOTA 6, COLORADO COLLEGE 0: Matt Frattin scored his 21st goal of the season and was one of six North Dakota players who scored, as the Fighting Sioux beat the Tigers on Saturday night in Colorado Springs to secure a split in the WCHA series. Danny Kristo had three assists and Aaron Dell made 21 saves for North Dakota, which limited CC to eight shots on goal through two periods.

With the victory, the Sioux moved into sole possession of first place in the WCHA. North Dakota has 28 points, one more than idle Denver.

• North Dakota senior captain Chay Genoway left Friday's series opener because of an apparent leg injury and did not play Saturday. The Grand Forks Herald reported that Genoway was checked into the end boards by Tigers senior Tyler Johnson, who was not penalized on the play. The game stopped for several minutes while Genoway was attended to by trainers. There was no word on the severity of the injury.

• MSU MANKATO 6, ST. CLOUD STATE 2: Michael Dorr and Chase Grant scored goals 42 seconds apart in the second period as the Mavericks built a 4-0 lead on their way to a victory over the Huskies in St. Cloud. Rylan Galiardi, Joe Schiller and Andrew Sackrison also scored for MSU Mankato, and Dorr added an empty-net goal. Aaron Marvin and Cam Reid scored for St. Cloud State.

• WISCONSIN 4, MICHIGAN TECH 1: Patrick Johnson had a goal and two assists as the visiting Badgers completed a sweep of the Huskies for their 12th victory in 13 games. Michigan Tech's winless streak grew to 22 games (0-20-2).

• ALABAMA HUNTSVILLE 2, NEBRASKA OMAHA 1 (OT): Sebastian Geoffrion scored 29 seconds into overtime, giving the lowly Chargers (4-24-2) a victory over the host Mavericks. Chargers goalie Clarke Saunders made 58 saves as Huntsville was outshot 59-19.
