NORTH DAKOTA 3, CLARKSON 1: Carter Rowney scored twice and the Sioux (11-8-2) made their first trip to Canada in 59 years a success by beating the Golden Knights (9-10-4) on Saturday at the U.S. College Hockey Classic in Winnipeg. North Dakota, which is 7-1-1 in its past nine games, last played in Canada on Dec. 29-30, 1953, losing two games to Fort Francis (Ontario). Clarkson was playing the final game of a nine-game road trip.

MINNESOTA DULUTH 5, WESTERN MICHIGAN 2: Jack Connolly had another assist and the defending national champion Bulldogs (14-3-3) extended their unbeaten streak to a nation-best 16 games by beating the Broncos (10-7-5) in Kalamazoo, Mich. Connolly extended his scoring streak to 17 games with an assist on Mike Seidel's third-period goal.
