WCHA roundup: Nebraska-Omaha ends UMD's streak at 17

NEBRASKA-OMAHA 3, MINNESOTA DULUTH 1: Ryan Massa made 43 saves Saturday night as the host Mavericks (11-9-4, 8-5-3 WCHA) ended the 17-game unbeaten streak of the top-ranked Bulldogs (15-4-3, 11-3-2). Andrew Schmit's second-period goal gave UNO a 2-1 lead and Massa took it from there, making 15 saves in the second period and 17 in the third. UMD outshot the Mavericks 44-15. Jack Connolly scored the Bulldogs' only goal in the second period to stretch his point-scoring streak to 20 games. UMD's school record is 22.• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 3, WISCONSIN 0: Phil Cook made 32 saves and Joe Schiller had three points to lead the Mavericks (7-16-1, 3-12-1) past the Badgers (10-10-2, 5-9-2), who lost for the sixth time in eight road games. Wisconsin's Mike Zengerle saw his point-scoring streak end at 20 consecutive games -- one short of the school record.

ST. CLOUD STATE 5, COLORADO COLLEGE 4 (OT): Jordy Christian scored midway through overtime as the Huskies (9-11-4, 6-7-3) beat the Tigers (13-8-1, 10-6) in Colorado Springs. Alexander Krushelnyski forced OT by scoring for CC with 24 seconds to go in regulation.

MICHIGAN TECH 6, ALASKA ANCHORAGE 4: Milos Gordic scored late in the third period as the host Huskies (11-11-1, 8-7-1) came back to beat the Seawolves (6-12-2, 3-12-1) in Houghton, Mich. Jordan Baker had a hat trick for Tech.

DENVER 3, BEMIDJI STATE 2: Chris Knowlton and Jason Zucker scored third-period goals as the host Pioneers (13-8-3, 8-5-3) came back to sweep the Beavers (11-11-2, 5-9-2).
