Suspicious vehicle. Police received a complaint about a vehicle parked in the yard of a home in the 5000 block of Northbrook Boulevard. The vehicle's owner was a neighbor who stated that she was given permission to park there by her neighbor while her driveway was being blacktopped.

LAKE ELMO

JULY 11

Underage consumption. A juvenile was observed riding on the trunk of a vehicle at a roundabout in the area of Stillwater Boulevard and Jamaca Avenue. The juvenile registered 0.103 on a portable breath test and was taken to Ramsey County Detox. He was cited for disorderly conduct and underage consumption.

LAKELAND

JULY 13

Theft report. Police received a report of two males stealing two cases of beer from a man after he put them down outside his truck and walked away in the 300 block of St. Croix Trail. The man told police he contacted the suspects and they agreed to pay him back.

MAHTOMEDI

JULY 9

Underage consumption. An officer responded to a report of underage consumption at Chautaqua Park, 75 Quail St. A group of people and a cooler were located but no alcohol was found.

JULY 12

Homeless individual. Police checked on a report of a man living in the woods behind the Dairy Queen, 850 Wildwood Rd. An encampment was discovered; efforts to locate the man were unsuccessful.

JULY 13

Mailbox fire. An officer used an extinguisher to put out two mailboxes that had been lit on fire in the 1000 block of Warner Avenue.

MAY TOWNSHIP

JULY 13

Parking violation. A citation was left on a vehicle in the Square Lake State Park boat launch for parking in a spot designated for vehicles with trailers.

OAKDALE

JULY 6

Tampering with a motor vehicle. An officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Glenbrook Avenue on a report of a theft from vehicle in progress. The officer observed a man using a coat hanger to try to enter a vehicle. The man ran into the woods when he saw the officer.

JULY 7

Disturbance. An officer was flagged down by someone in the Menards parking lot, 3205 Hadley Av., who said he could hear a man and a woman arguing in a nearby truck. The officer contacted the couple who said they were arguing about home decorating.

STILLWATER TOWNSHIP

JULY 8

Found pony. A pony was found in the 10000 block of Stonebridge Trail and eventually reunited with its owner.

JULY 10

License plate obstruction. An officer gave a written warning to the driver of a vehicle in the area of Norell Avenue and Dellwood Road whose license plate tabs were obstructed.

JULY 12

Suspicious package. The St. Paul bomb squad detonated a package that was found near a retaining wall at the St. Croix Boom Site Landing on St. Croix Trail. The package contained a ceramic decorative piece.

WOODBURY

JULY 9

Theft. A boat on a trailer was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 2200 block of Cascade Plaza. Fishing equipment inside the boat also was taken.

JULY 13

Suspicious activity. Police searched a vehicle and its driver after receiving a report of a gun falling out of his lap when he got out of the vehicle at the Dollar Tree, 7150 Valley Creek Plaza. No gun was found on the driver or in the vehicle.
