Vita.mn's 2015 Are You Local? contest

We're in search of the best new band in the Twin Cities. Finalists will play our showcase concert and be profiled in Vita.mn, with one lucky winner headed to Austin, TX!

What is Are You Local?

Vita.mn's sixth annual contest to discover the best new local band!

How does it work?

The nomination period has closed and we have 126 acts vying to be finalists. Vote for your favorite new band now at www.vita.mn/areyoulocal!

On Feb. 19, up to five finalists will be selected from all nominees to play Vita.mn's "Are You Local?" show on Friday, March 6 at First Avenue, where one of the finalists will be crowned best new local band.

When does voting close?

Feb. 16, 2015.

Are there prizes?

Yes. In addition to playing the "Are You Local?" showcase on March 6, each of the finalists will be profiled in Vita.mn. The winning band will take home even more goodies, including a spot in the Vita.mn and First Avenue music showcase during the 2015 South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, on Friday, Mar. 20. We'll also include a travel stipend to help you get down to Texas.
