Monday: Mozart played the viola. So did Brahms. So does the superlative, Japanese-born, Geneva-based Nobuko Imai, who, in a rare U.S. appearance, headlines the Chamber Music Society of Minnesota's season finale. Her program couldn't be better: Viola quintets by the aforementioned Mozart (K.515) and Brahms (Op. 88) bracket "A String Around Autumn," written for her by the late Toru Takemitsu and played here in Toshio Hosokawa's 2007 arrangement for viola and piano. (7:30 p.m. Mon., Minnesota History Center, 345 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul. $15-25. 651-450-0527.) LARRY FUCHSBERG
