Once you get past the outrage, shock and whatever else you want to use to describe the Saints bounty story -- a scab picked at again this morning with the Gregg Williams audio -- Vikings fans are left with constant reminders of what might have been in the NFC title game after the 2009 season.
Each new story makes the pain fresh. And apparently even the players feel the same way, as evidenced by this tweet of lament from Visanthe Shiancoe to Chris Kluwe:
Shiancoe later tweeted, "If certain calls were made, it would have been a diff game."
Two-plus years and counting, with no end in sight.
Sigh.
