A.D. still loved in MN
Adrian Peterson returned to Minnesota and ran for 76 yards on 14 carries. His 29-yarder in the second half moved him to sixth on the NFL’s all-time rushing list with 13,701 yards. At the two-minute warning, he was shown on the scoreboard and the crowd gave him a standing ovation. “I had to hold tears back, to be honest with you,” Peterson said.
Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes vs. WR Terry McLaurin
Rhodes struggled in one-on-one coverage. McLaurin caught four of his six targets for 39 yards, and drew a pass interference penalty on Diggs at the Vikings’ 2.
SEVEN FGS, ONE TD
Vikings RB Dalvin Cook scored the game’s only touchdown on a 4-yard run seven seconds before halftime on a third-and goal play. The Vikings overloaded to the right side and Cook took a handoff from Kirk Cousins (8) and headed right before cutting back to the left, bulling the final yard over Redskins safety Troy Apke.
“He gets the tough yards. That’s what he does.”
