He’s a turtle, not a rabbit
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady finally reached 1,000 career yards rushing. Never considered a mobile quarterback, it took Brady 19 years and 265 games to reach the 1,000-yard milestone — the most by a player since the merger. At 41, he is also the oldest player to reach 1,000 career rushing yards since 1970. He averaged 1.7 yards per carry and 3.8 yards per game.
Vikings WR Stefon Diggs vs. Pats CB Stephon Gilmore
Diggs caught all five of his targets but had only 49 yards as the Patriots defensive backs were strong in coverage. Gilmore gets the edge.
PLAY OF THE GAME
JOSH BY GOSH
Patriots WR Josh Gordon (10) found himself all alone at the 7-yard line on a third-quarter touchdown pass from Tom Brady (12). Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes (29) covered the slot receiver as Gordon found a bubble between LB Eric Kendricks (54) and S Anthony Harris (41), and rumbled in for the go-ahead touchdown.
“Seven guys running, eight guys catching, that makes it hard for them to defend us. Good to have that happen.”
— Tom Brady
