O'Brien becomes fall guy
Texans coach Bill O'Brien took full blame, answering a question about his playmakers by saying: "It starts and ends with me. That's the answer I'm going to give you, because I'm not doing a good enough job of getting them the ball. I'm in charge of the football team. When you play like that, it's not very good, and it's a reflection of the coaching. And I'm the head coach."
QB Sam Bradford vs. Houston DE Jadeveon Clowney
Bradford's job was to keep the damage to a minimum. Clowney, a former first overall pick, had four tackles for loss but never got to the QB. Edge to Bradford.
PLAY OF THE GAME
Adam Thielen (19) scored the Vikings' first TD with a double move on Texans CB Johnathan Joseph (24), beating him down the right sideline and taking a pass from QB Sam Bradford (8) for a 7-0 lead 3:37 into the game.
"He just made plays all over the field for us in the slot, outside, a variety of different routes."
