The Minnesota State Patrol has located the vehicle that was involved in an Interstate 94 hit- and-run that killed a 38-year-old man Tuesday.

Anousone Phanthavong, of Roseville, a Minneapolis chef, was struck shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday on the ramp leading from westbound Interstate 94 to Riverside Avenue while putting gas in his car, according to the State Patrol.

The vehicle they believe to be involved was a 2009 Mercedes-Benz ML350, a sport-utility vehicle, that is light gold in color. The patrol did not immediately say where it was found, and authorities continued to look for the driver.

Authorities had yet to hear from any witnesses to the crash. Anyone with information is urged to call the patrol at 651-582-1511.
