Senior Anne Schleper and junior Megan Bozek of the Gophers were named to the all-WCHA first team as defensemen on Thursday night.

Schleper is a three-time first team pick and, as a freshman, she was named to the second team. Bozek was a third team all-conference pick last season and a second-team pick as a freshman.

They are both among the top five in scoring among WCHA freshmen and lead a blue-line corps on a team that has given up the fewest goals in the nation.

Forwards Amanda Kessel and Jen Schoullis were named to the all-WCHA second team. Kessel, a sophomore, was the WCHA rookie of the year and a third team pick last season. Schoullis is a senior and the Gophers' second leading scorer behind Kessel.

Junior goalie Noora Raty was a third team pick this year after back-to-back first team selections.

Freshman Rachel Ramsey, a defenseman, was named to the conference's all-rookie team.

Fourteen Gophers were named to the academic all-WCHA team:
