Hannah Brandt scored two goals as the Gophers women's hockey team tied an NCAA record for consecutive wins with a 3-0 victory over Minnesota State Mankato on Friday at Ridder Arena.

The No. 1-rated Gophers (13-0, 9-0 WCHA) have won 21 games in a row.

Brandt gave the Gophers a 1-0 lead at 14 minutes, 2 seconds of the second period. Maryanne Menefee made it 2-0 at 19 minutes.

Brandt added a second goal, her 14th of the season, in the third period. Noora Raty got her 32nd career shutout with 24 saves.

The Gophers' 21-game winning streak matched Harvard's run between Jan. 4 and March 15 in 2008.
