The Gophers women's hockey team routed St. Cloud State 7-0 on Friday night in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame game at the Roseville Skating Center.

No. 3 Minnesota (16-3) beat the Huskies (8-9-2) for the 28th game in a row and third time this season, although this game does not count in the WCHA standings — it's considered nonconference. The Gophers won 7-0 and 11-0 in a mid-October series.

Kate Schipper scored twice in the opening period and, in between her goals, Hannah Brandt got her 20th goal as the Gophers took a 3-0 lead in the opening period. Schipper's goals were her sixth and seventh of the season.

The lead grew to 5-0 when Milica McMillen and Nina Rodgers scored 29 seconds apart in the middle of the second period; McMillen's goal was on a power play. Dani Cameranesi made it 6-0 in the 14th minute on her 19th goal of the season. Kelsey Cline got the final goal — her first — on a power play in the eighth minute of the third.

Brandt finished with three points on a goal and two assists. Six teammates had two points and four more one point each.

Amanda Leveille made 12 saves for the shutout — her fourth of the season. Katie Fitzgerald stopped 25 shots for St. Cloud State.
